The Institute of Biomedical & Genetic Engineering (IBGE) was established in 1992 as Pakistan's premier biomedical and human genetics research facility. We are dedicated to basic biomedical and translational research to promote the understanding and prevention of human diseases including heart diseases, diabetes, metabolic disorders, cancer, neuropsychiatric and blood disorders.
For more than 33 years, IBGE has led in medical genetics — specifically disease genetics. We are internationally recognized for contributions to the human genome diversity project and rare genetic disorders research.
